Course Objectives:  

1. Gain knowledge regarding access to oral health care in the state of Missouri.
2. Recognize the profound changes in reimbursement through Medicaid.
3. Discover avenues in which Medicaid can be implemented into private practice.
4. Discuss pediatric techniques that can easily be implemented in any practice.

Speaker Bio:  

Dr. Emily attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI for both undergraduate and dental school. She earned her DDS in 2012. She immediately continued her education in Yakima, WA with the Lutheran Medical Center to complete her 2 year intensive pediatric training. During this time she also completed a certificate in leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities. Upon returning to St. Louis in 2014, she began providing dental care for medically complex children at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. 

Dr. Emily opened Skyview Pediatric Dentistry in 2019 (5 months before the shutdown) located within Children's Specialty Care Center.

When she is not dentisting, she is with her husband Corey, a chiropractor in St. Peter’s 2 sons Aiden and Alex. Emily Commits much of her time to the Greater St.Louis Dental Society and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has a true passion for access to care and was named one of the ADA's 10 under 10 in 2021.
